Description:
This position is responsible for the entry of license contract information into a centralized database for the Company. This position will also ensure the proper and timely tracking of contract obligations, in coordination with the Finance, Legal, Distribution and Production Departments.
Responsibilities:
Time sensitive entry and revision of contract data into a Jaguar System 7 rights management database
Periodic generation, output and distribution of various data summaries
Regular consultation with the Rights Management Coordinator and Legal Department on contract clause interpretation
Tracking and notifying appropriate departments of upcoming contract obligations
Effective, regular communications with production partners and other departments
Assist in resolution of any data conflicts identified
Performing data maintenance and responding to ad hoc requests for information from management and others
Maintain general filing system for all finalized contracts
Education and/or Experience:
2-3 years work experience in a data entry environment
Familiarity with SQL statements or the entertainment industry and asset
Knowledge of Jaguar rights management software would be highly valuable
Other Qualifications:
Skill at understanding legal statements and converting them into logical, field-based data
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Flexible work style: able to adjust to multiple demands and a changing and fast-paced environment
Takes responsibility for assigned tasks, shows initiative to suggest improvements to processes and procedures
Strong computer skills required including solid working knowledge of spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel)
Knowledge of French is desirable
