COOKIE JAR INKS PAN REGIONAL BROADCAST DEAL WITH CARTOON NETWORK LATIN AMERICA FOR THREE OF ITS TOP ANIMATED SERIES
Cookie Jar's Popular Arthur, The Little Lulu Show and Mona the Vampire To Debut On Cartoon Network Latin America

Toronto, Canada (January 25th, 2005)-Cookie Jar Entertainment has sold three of its most popular animated franchises, Arthur, The Little Lulu Show and Mona the Vampire in a pan regional broadcast deal to Cartoon Network Latin America. The announcement was made by Sam Ewing, Senior Vice President, Sales and Distribution, Cookie Jar Entertainment. "Cartoon Network Latin America is the #1 rated pay TV network in Latin America and a top home for Arthur, The Little Lulu Show and Mona the Vampire. We are delighted to join with Cartoon Network Latin America in bringing these classic favorites to children audiences throughout the region," said Ewing. "Due to the positive response to The Little Lulu Show on Cartoon Network, we are delighted to renew the series and look forward to adding Arthur and Mona the Vampire to our programming as we continue to build a successful relationship with Cookie Jar," said Cindy Kerr, Vice President of Programming and Acquisitions, Cartoon Network and Boomerang Latin America.

Based on the best-selling children's book by Marc Brown, Arthur (125 x 30 min) follows the adventures of the world's most famous aardvark, eight year-old Arthur Read, his four-year old sister D.W. and their family and friends. In addition to Cartoon Network Latin America, Arthur has been licensed to over 150 countries including such prestigious international broadcasters as PBS (US), CBC (Canada), BBC (UK), ABC (Australia), KIKA (Germany), TVE (Spain), France 5 (France) and many others. Cartoon Network Latin America renewed the series The Little Lulu Show, picking up 4 complete seasons of 52 animated half-hours of non-stop gags and giggles. Little Lulu's been a star since 1935 when she first appeared in Marjorie Buell's famous comic strip. And now The Little Lulu Show is proving that the feisty girl with the corkscrew curls is a hit with a new generation. Wherever she appears, Little Lulu's getting rave reviews. Lulu is currently licensed to 199 countries.

Mona The Vampire® (65 x 30 min.) is co-produced by Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc., Alphanim S.A. and Animation Services (Hong Kong) and is based on the books by Sonia Holleyman and Hiawyn Oran. Mona The Vampire (tm) features Mona, a ten-year-old girl who shares her secret life as a vampire with a group of equally imaginative friends.
