COOKIE JAR ENTERTAINMENT SELLS GERALD MCBOING BOING TO FIVE UK Five Licenses 26-Episode Animated Series For Broadcast Beginning October 2005

TORONTO/LONDON (November 14, 2005) - Cookie Jar Entertainment has sold the 26-episode animated series GERALD MCBOING BOING to Five UK for broadcast beginning October 2005, it was announced by Alison Warner, VP, Distribution.
"Gerald McBoing Boing joins Five's high quality children's line up. It's a great series that bridges the gap between pre school and 5 - 8 year olds nicely. A perfect fit for our weekend schedule," said Nick Wilson, Controller of Children's Programming, Five.
Five is the latest major broadcaster embracing GERALD MCBOING BOING. In the U.S., GERALD MCBOING BOING airs on Cartoon Network. Teletoon is the home for the series in Canada.
Cookie Jar teamed with New York-based Classic Media to produce the GERALD MCBOING BOING animated series, which is based on the classic character property owned by Classic Media and created by Theodor Geisel, known the world over to booklovers young and old as "Dr. Seuss."
Aimed at children 4-8 years old, GERALD MCBOING BOING is the story of a little boy who would only talk in sound effects. A fun and nurturing property, GERALD MCBOING BOING shows children that even a boy who speaks in sounds can attend school and make friends - even if he might frustrate his harried father.
The first entertainment appearance by Gerald was a United Productions of America (UPA) cartoon, which won the Oscar for best short subject (animated) in 1950, and was produced by Geisel together with Bill Scott of Rocky and Bullwinkle fame.
