COOKIE JAR ENTERTAINMENT NAMES GREG GILHOOLY VICE PRESIDENT BUSINESS AND LEGAL AFFAIRS

TORONTO, CANADA (January 9, 2006) - Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc. has appointed Greg Gilhooly to the position of Vice-President, Business and Legal Affairs, it was announced by Toper Taylor, President and COO.
"As Cookie Jar Group continues to expand its successful entertainment businesses, we are pleased to welcome Greg Gilhooly's extensive legal and business affairs experience and expertise on the corporate level," said Taylor.
Gilhooly will report to Mark Chernin, Sr VP Business and Legal Affairs. Based in the company's Toronto head office, his responsibilities will support Cookie Jar's dynamic growth as the company continues to introduce several new shows a year, expands its entertainment operations globally and solidifies its new business initiatives. In its first 18 months of operations, Cookie Jar has successfully launched 26 episodes of 'Gerald McBoing Boing' on Teletoon and Cartoon Network, 52 episodes of 'The Doodlebops' on CBC and Disney Channel, and is in production on 20 new half hours of Caillou and 10 new half hours of Arthur. Headquartered in Canada, the company's operations have expanded to include offices in Europe, the US and Asia.
Prior to joining Cookie Jar Entertainment, Gilhooly was President and CEO of Wishbone Entertainment Inc., an independent Toronto-based production company, after having previously served as Vice-President, Operations, of Fireworks Entertainment, a Toronto-based producer and distributor of theatrical films. Earlier, Greg served as General Counsel and Director, Corporate Development, at CanWest Global Communications Corp., based in Winnipeg. Gilhooly began his legal career as an attorney in private practice, specializing in commercial, securities and tax at Blake Cassels & Graydon in Toronto. Gilhooly is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law.
