COOKIE JAR ENTERTAINMENT'S CAILLOU WINS BRONZE MEDAL AT THE NEW YORK FESTIVALS 2006 TELEVISION PROGRAMMING AND PROMOTION AWARDS
CAILLOU Recognized As One Of The Best Television Series For Children Ages 2-6

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
TORONTO - (February 6, 2006) - CAILLOU, the popular animated series for preschoolers that is about to launch a fourth season on PBS, was recognized by the New York Festivals as one of the best television series for children ages 2-6. Cookie Jar Entertainment accepted the Bronze World Medal at the New York Festivals awards ceremony Friday, January 27, 2006 in New York City.

Commenting on the award, Cookie Jar Entertainment President and Chief Operating Officer Toper Taylor said: "As a company dedicated to creating programming that entertains, inspires and enlightens children and family audiences, we are extremely pleased to be recognized with such a prestigious award. We are certainly thrilled with the continued success of Caillou, but it is especially gratifying to validate the quality of the series with this honor."

Addressing real-kid issues, CAILLOU has proven to be among television's most irresistible characters - a little boy in a very big world who has become embraced by children and parents alike. In the new fourth season of the award-winning series, the little boy who captivated children in Canada, the United States and around the world grows up a bit and heads to preschool! CAILLOU demonstrates how the first experiences of life, from going to the park to understanding one's own family, can be perceived with wonder and a sense of discovery. Blending animation with humor, kid logic and imagination, the CAILLOU animated television series helps children make sense of their world. The stories address real problems and conflicts typical to a young child's development.

In addition to its popularity on PBS in the U.S. and TELETOON in Canada, the award winning series remains a staple preschool animated series for viewers worldwide, airing on such prestigious international networks as Super RTL (Germany) and RTP (Portugal), to mention a few.

Based on the books published by Editions Chouette, CAILLOU is produced by Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc.
