FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: WHO: Cookie Jar Entertainment would like to apologize to loyal online fans of the battle-action series Spider Riders.com, along with regrets to all dedicated Doodlebops.com users, for their inability to access their favorite websites over the weekend.
WHAT: Many fans' world stood motionless in silence over the weekend as online activity for these two very popular and often frequented websites came to a screeching halt.
WHERE: Spider Riders.com was the first to take a hit, followed by Doodlebops.com, and finally, the rest of Cookie Jar Entertainment series' websites.
WHY: Spider Riders.com seems to be the guilty party in this head-on collision. On Saturday, June 11, Kids' WB! began on-air promotion of the Spider Riders' on-line game. This great news was received by more than a few speedy online fans; eventually causing users to visit the site in hordes and play the game any consummate warrior would love. This activity resulted in a tsunami of hits to Spider Riders website; an increase of more than 400%. The crash was more like an explosion given it's affect on Doodlebops.com, including others. Although the wreckage has been resolved and the sites are up-and-running as if the hit never took place, fans can expect to experience just as much activity in the future, as Spider Riders' will make its U.S. home on Kids WB! starting June 17, 2006, in addition to The Doodlebops securing a third a season on Disney Playhouse in the U.S. and CBC in Canada.
