COOKIE JAR ENTERTAINMENT NAMES RODRIGO PIZÁ VP LATIN AMERICA

TORONTO, CANADA (August 25, 2009) Rodrigo Pizá has been hired as Cookie Jar Entertainment's VP for Latin America, it was announced today by Jean-Michel Ciszewski, SVP Television and Home Entertainment. Based in Cookie Jar's Toronto's headquarters, Pizá will be responsible for overseeing sales for new programming and consumer products throughout Latin America.
"It is critical that Cookie Jar continues to have a strong presence in Latin America," said Ciszewski. "We look forward to benefiting from Rodrigo's experience and outstanding track record in international sales and extensive knowledge of the consumer products market in the region."
Pizá brings more than 14 years of industry experience to his new position. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Television, Canada, US Hispanic, and Latin America Live Events and Sponsorships at HIT Entertainment, overseeing classic properties such as Bob the Builder™, Barney™, Thomas & Friends™ and Angelina Ballerina™. Previously, he was General Manager of the Locomotion Channel, a joint venture between The Hearst Corporation and Corus Entertainment Inc. He also held the position of Director of Nelvana Enterprises (UK) Ltd, where he was responsible for co-productions, consumer products licensing and TV distribution in Latin America, Japan, Southeast Asia and Australia. In 2007 he wrote and directed the feature film, "¿Te veré en el desayuno?," set to be released in 2009.
