COOKIE JAR ENTERTAINMENT TAPS BRUCE KALISH TO SERVE AS SHOW RUNNER FOR NEW SERIES MUDPIT

Burbank, CA (February 8, 2010) - Veteran entertainment industry executive Bruce Kalish has been hired as the show runner for Cookie Jar Entertainment's new series, Mudpit. Produced by the company's teen and adult label, THE JAR, 26 episodes of Mudpit will begin production this April.

"Bruce has created and produced a wide range of popular series for major U.S. networks," said Tom Mazza, EVP and Head of Worldwide TV. "His experience and understanding of what it takes to create a hit show will be invaluable in making Mudpit a success."

Most recently, Kalish created, wrote and executive produced Disney XD's first live-action series, Aaron Stone. He produced the hit series The Fall Guy, and was executive producer on Disney Channel's The Famous Jett Jackson and The Famous Jett Jackson Movie, for which he won a Gemini Award for Best Series. From 2004-2007, he served as executive producer, show runner and writer for Power Rangers. Kalish began his career as a story editor on the hit ABC comedy series Mork & Mindy and has since amassed numerous credentials as a writer and producer. His writing credits include: All in the Family, The Incredible Hulk, Eight Is Enough, Alien Nation and The Highwayman.

Mudpit is half live-action and half animated comedy revolving around four teens who form a virtual band called Mudpit. While playing their favorite online music game they write a song that makes them an overnight success and turns them into rock stars on the web. Now they must balance their off-line teen lives with their virtual world superstardom.
