CPLG CANADA HIRES AL FEDRIGONI AS SENIOR LICENSING DIRECTOR

Toronto (April 19, 2010) - Canadian licensing industry expert Al Fedrigoni has joined CPLG Canada as Senior Licensing Director, it was announced today by CPLG Canada MD, Kelly Elwood. Fedrigoni's hiring signals the continued growth of CPLG Canada and its wide range of properties including Caillou, Strawberry Shortcake, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight and Inspector Gadget.
"With more than 30 years of licensing experience, working with some of the world's most recognizable brands, Al is an important addition to CPLG Canada's team," said Elwood. "Al will play an important role in the growth of CPLG Canada, overseeing key licensing programs, brand development at retail and strategic promotional partnerships throughout the country."
Fedrigoni will handle top TV brands including Johnny Test, Inspector Gadget, The Latest Buzz and Totally Spies. He will also oversee powerful book properties such as The World of Eric Carle, highlighted by the children's classic, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", and Richard Scarry, which has sold more than 150 million books worldwide. Fedrigoni will continue to build the successful design brand It's Happy Bunny, which is on target to hit the $1 billion in sales milestone in 2010.
Fedrigoni previously held executive positions with The Walt Disney Company (Canada), most recently Director of Licensing for all toy categories. He was responsible for the toy launches of top Disney film and TV franchises throughout Canada including The Lion King, Cars and Winnie the Pooh.
